Eight treasure pattern is a traditional auspicious pattern. In Taoism， eight kinds of objects held by the eight immortals are used as symbols to remember the eight treasures. See “Dark Eight Immortals”. In Buddhism， “eight auspicious” is used as the symbol of eight treasures.
